For many years, the city of Sderot has stood at the frontline by the Gaza strip, and is in the first circle of the conflict area in the Gaza envelope. Today, 60% of the children in Sderot suffer from PTSD symptoms.
Vision for Israel received a request to help provide board games for the families who live in Sderot to relieve some of the stress from this tough situation. We were delighted to join in the effort, and we were able to donate two board games to each family in need. These families spend a lot of time at home due to the security situation, and they try to avoid the outside in case rockets are launched from the Gaza strip. The families were very happy to have something that helps strengthen their family and pass time in a constructive way.
