Restoring Joy and Dignity to Trauma Victims in Israel

Every day, tens of thousands of survivors of terror and trauma in Israel struggle to rebuild their lives. These individuals—mothers, fathers, children, and loved ones—carry deep emotional and physical wounds that require compassion, care, and meaningful rehabilitation. Tragically, the resources currently available are not enough to meet the growing need.

At Vision for Israel, we are committed to standing in the gap. For over 25 years, we have served the people of Israel by offering support to those who need it most. Today, we are moving forward with a bold initiative to provide specialized rehabilitation programs for victims of terrorism and violence.

Victims of terrorism experience trauma in different ways—some manage to rehabilitate successfully, while others struggle to recover. The lasting effects of these attacks turn victims into individuals who must fight for their wounded souls every day. Their daily functioning is impacted, which in turn affects families across Israel and influences society as a whole.

Research has identified various methods for treating individuals who have experienced violence, terrorism, war, and other traumatic events. The primary goal is to support those who are mentally exhausted by developing personalized recovery plans that help them rebuild their lives. Our mission is to provide tailored and meaningful support to those in need.

The current situation in Israel is extremely challenging, with entire communities deeply affected by the October 7, 2023, massacre. The demand for psychological and emotional support continues to grow daily, with an increasing number of applications from those in need. We believe this initiative will play a crucial role in healing and rehabilitating the affected populations. Many individuals who have long received support from Vision for Israel are now seeking to be part of this rehabilitation program.

We have been diligently working to develop effective programs, but their implementation requires significant financial resources. While part of the budget is secured, additional funding is still needed to bring the project to life. Additionally, a skilled team of consultants and professionals in the field is essential to ensure the program’s success.
