During July and August, when the children were resting and recharging their batteries in preparation for the new school year, we at Vision for Israel were hard at work. Amid the summer months, we are known to distribute high-quality school bags and stationery sets to children from families in need.
And this year, we were able to reach a variety of places in the country. Among them were the southern cities that suffered from rocket attacks during Operation Guardian of the Walls —areas devastated by terrorism, and refugee centers.
The parents that we helped expressed endless gratitude, and the children were very excited about their new supplies. We were so thrilled to be with them and glad we could help.
We received a touching letter from one of the families, which we would like to share with you. The family said:
“We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping our daughter who is going into first grade with a backpack, as well as our daughter who is going into fifth grade. This is a big help for us and great kindness. May you be blessed and may God give you strength, health, and joy to continue your blessed work.”
